In contrast to the Citrix ICA Model, which sends terminal commands over a network, MultiNode utilizes direct video technology. There are no translation layers or network overhead, enabling MultiNode to provide a noticeable speed improvement over ICA based solutions.

Computer:
486 or Pentium class PC, 3.5" floppy disk drive, mouse and standard parallel port. (MultiNode will also support symmetric multiprocessing systems.)

Memory:
16 MB RAM for server (and at least 6 MB RAM per additional user--16 MB recommended)

Disk Space:
30 MB free hard disk space

Networking Software:
Windows NT Server or Windows NT Workstation. (Contact IGC for version requirements).

Multiuser hardware:
Multiport graphic controller card with a base unit for each user. VGA or SVGA monitor, keyboard, and mouse for each Maxspeed base unit.
