Prologue Software Acquires IGC

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL - July 27, 1998. IGC is pleased to announce that Prologue Software, through its subsidiary Prologue North America, has acquired 100% of IGC. IGC will operate as a division of Prologue North America. Operations will remain in the United States.

Prologue Software is an innovator in thin client computing and integrated solutions, and has been closely linked to the development of the personal computer industry in France and in Europe. Founded in 1986, Prologue Software recently made their IPO on the Paris Stock Exchange.

Prologue Software currently has over 1600 specialized software houses, 220,000 sites and 600,000 users around the world and has subsidiaries in Germany, Benelux, Spain, Italy and Russia and the United States. Prologue has also formed numerous strategic partnerships with companies such as Microsoft, who acquired the worldwide license for their WiNTimes technology in 1997.

"IGC was seen as a natural extension of Prologue Software's business both in terms of its technological skills and its customer base, and is the starting point for [Prologues] operational activities in the United States," said Henri Ganancia, CEO of Prologue North America.

Founded in 1985, IGC is a leading provider of thin client technology. Its thin client software products MultiNode, MTerm, and VM/386, have over 90,000 installs concentrated predominantly in the retail and distribution sectors. IGC has distribution networks in place in the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and Africa.

Tim Millar, President of IGC had this to say: "The acquisition complements our core products and offers us additional technical expertise that reaffirms our position as the leading provider of thin client technology. Our combined install base of over 1 million users will provide us with additional backing to compete in the international arena. Furthermore, Prologue's position with Microsoft will help create confidence for our client's commitments to our current and future products."

As a division of Prologue North America, IGC will focus on providing specialized offers to a number of vertical markets, as well as developing thin client technologies focused on the Windows NT/Terminal Server market. MTerm, IGC's innovative new terminal server technology for Windows NT, fits perfectly into this strategy and provides Prologue with an immediately available product for the American and European markets.

Founded in 1985, IGC is the leading supplier of thin client platforms. IGC's multiuser products have over 450,000 users throughout the world.

MultiNode, MTerm, and IGC are registered trademarks of IGC. Windows NT is a registered trademark of Microsoft.
